Roger Schwarzschild is Associate Professor in the Linguistics Department at Rutgers University. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He is interested in semantics and pragmatics, with a recent focus on measure and degree constructions. His publications include: Pluralities (Kluwer); “GIVENness, Avoid F and Other Constraints on the Placement of Focus,” in Natural Language Semantics; (with Karina Wilkinson) “Quantifiers in Comparatives: A Semantics of Degree Based on Intervals,” in Natural Language Semantics.
