Participant Registration

Registration for the 2005 LSA Summer Institute has closed.

If you would like to register or have already registered and need to make a change to your course schedule, you may only do so on-site between June 26th and July 1st for session one/full courses and between July 17th and July 22nd for session two courses.

Individual schedules will be provided during the on-site check-in period.

If you need to cancel your participation in the program, please send an email notification to conferences-www@mit.edu.

For questions concerning the program or agenda, please contact lsa2005-www@mit.edu.

Participant Tuition, Deadline, and Fees:

Tuition for the full six week session is $2000.00 and $1250.00 for each three week session. A non-refundable $50.00 application fee will be required.

Participants who are registered for six weeks may take up to eight LSA credits and those registered for three weeks may take up to four LSA credits.  Participants may audit courses for no additional cost.  Audited courses are not awarded credit.

The tuition and fees cover all administrative costs including I.D. cards, access to libraries and receptions. Class materials are not included in the tuition fee. All fees are in US dollars.

Participant Payments:

Payments may be made by check or credit card.

Check payments must be made in US Dollars and drawn on a US Bank. Checks should be made payable to MIT.

For credit card payments, we accept MasterCard, Visa, American Express or Discover.

International Participants

Since the Institute will function more like a conference than a full course of study, we expect those who are not US citizens or permanent residents will be able to enter the country on a visitor visa or through the visa waiver program. All are urged to apply for these entry documents at the earliest date possible, since you may experience delays in securing travel documents required for entry into the US.

For more information, please go to: http://travel.state.gov/

Cancellations

All cancellations must be submitted in writing. Participant cancellations received in writing by e-mail (conferences-www@mit.edu) or fax (1-617-258-7005) on or before May 31, 2005 are entitled to a full refund minus the non-refundable application fee. No refunds will be made for portion of registration not used. All special event tickets are non-refundable. No refunds (full or partial) will be issued after May 31, 2005.

All refunds will be made in US dollars. Refunds will be processed in the manner in which the original payment was submitted, with the possible exception of wire or on-site cash payments that, at the Institute's discretion, may be refunded via check. If a refund is made via wire transfer, any bank fees will be deducted from the refund.
