She was so flattered, to have been nominated in so many categories this year. And some were so unexpected. "Among the Most Persuasive?" she asked her hound, Percival. "Me?" Niniane gazed into the flickering flames of the fire before her and shrugged off her heavy black cloak. It was getting much too warm. "But the best part of all," she told the huge beast, scratching him behind the ears, "is that I *finally* made a showing in the Most Sensual category..." She shook out her long dark hair, fanning it away from her pale face. "And it's about time, too." Niniane chuckled to herself as she rose to her feet. Time to gather up her belongings and pack away the tent. There were so many more roads to travel. Winter Solstice was near, and there was much to do. But, before she dowsed the fire, she gazed deeply into the flames, knowing that her words would reach the ears of many as she said: "Thank you to all who cast votes my way... and many congratulations to all of this year's winners." And, with that, she was gone... leaving nothing but a shimmering shadow of gray smoke, and the faint scent of lilacs, behind her... **************************************************************************** Donna M.
