First, thanks for considering me helpful by listing me among the runners-up for the TECH category. While my activity over the past year or so has been somewhat limited, I have tried to find enough time to share anything my professional writing experience has taught me. I feel that because of what I've gained from WRITERS over the past four years, I enjoy finding the time to do that. The following honor, though, left me scratching my head: << List Liberal Winner: Judy Ray with 50% of the vote! And leaning that way, we also find: Robert Crawford, Dustin Klein >> As anyone who knows me in person knows, I've always considered myself a moderate -- conservative economically... very conservative, pro-military spending, in favor of small government... but liberal on social issues such as being pro-choice. Ironically, I'm also very pro-capital punishment, which, as I often joke, at least makes me consistent. Thus, I found it interesting to see my name associated with the word "liberal." I think it was just two years ago that the MJ awards tabbed me one of the List Conservatives. I guess, then, that those social issues seem to raise their heads more often on WRITERS than economics over the past year. Speaking of economics... I had the pleasure yesterday of spending a hour with a senior economist at the Federal Reserve Bank. If you ever get the chance to pick a high-ranking economist's brain, do so. It was an enlightening -- and truly educational -- experience. Anyway, I appreciate the votes either way. I means people do, indeed, read what I have to say and reflect upon it. Thanks again!!! :-) Dustin
