I'm not sure whether my compressed and skewed wordplays are really poetry, but I sure have fun putting them together. One more for the road... (or should I say load?:-) [I'm also not sure whether this line still exists. If you don't get this, please ignore it. Of course, if you do get it, you may still ignore it. Your choice.] mike A Writer's Coda, Perhaps... A thousand dreams of dreaming lie Faded under the pitiless sky Discarded, unfinished, wasted, dropped, Past reality stopped. Night dawns, noon rises, sun dizzy New mirages flash busy Dreams of today for everyday Flicker and flinch away. The dark rises, shining eyes Click cool drop sighs! A thousand dreams of dreaming cry Tell the fire side sparks fly! A line begun in skins warm, Sketched again as fable swarm, Folded, chopped, repeated by the press, Reborn today on lightning's tress. A thousand dreams of dreaming nigh, Another night on cliff's edge high, Under the daylight wordy sprawl, In the moonlight, magic's call. ----------------------------
