Subject:      EXERCISE:  My Summer Vacation

merry christmas Writers!

I thought an exercise about Summertime might be a good way to lick
those winter (and holiday) blues, and, a way to share some of your
memories with all of us.   (not to mention get us back to the business
of writing around here).........

So, let's take that old "what I did on my summer vacation" thing and graduate
 it.
How'bout a poem or essay or short story that captures a memorable summer.
That summer you learned to ride a two-wheeler bike, the adventures (and fear)
of your first swimming lessons, or that year you got your first puppy.  Or
 maybe,
you fell and broke your arm and ended up in a cast most of one summer! (bummer!)
Let us know how you felt, who was around, what the garden smelled like,
(or lack of garden - maybe the concrete had cracks in it and you avoided
stepping on them all summer long?)  Give us details!  Share with us a
memory.
