Does anyone have any ideas about this? She held onto the letter like a lifeline. She never thought to ever receive it, and yet, in the back of her mind, she never gave up hope that someday the mail carrier would bring it to her doorstep--whereever she lived. She alwys knew that she would feel odd and, yet, strangely free when the letter finally came. When it did, the letter came in a plain business size envelope, the same kind that she had a big box of in the spare bedroom closet. When it came she didn't expect it to be so plain. It had no return address, but seeing what it was, she had no doubt who it came from. How many nights had she lain in bed and dreamt about the day if finally came? Did she ever expect to stand here in her housecoat and cry? Are they tears of joy or sorrow for what could have been? She didn't know. What does the letter say? Who is it from? Your job is to create the scenario that led to this passage. I have some ideas of my own, and if anyone is interested, I will e-mail them to you. Happy writing!! Tori
