Orhan 5 Day 11 TE 6061

The seamstress returns to fix up Mark's new suit. The rest of us break up for the day and do random things while waiting for the palace gathering this evening.

We attend in the evening. There are all the usual folks, functionaries, priests of Zanar, military officers. After we mill a bit, the Master of Ceremonies comes over to introduce himself. He's glad to have people of substance and good breeding to come down and join in their community here.

Imre is particularly introduced to Lord Maris, head of the smithing guild.

Meanwhile, the military guys are interested in Mark, who they don't quite recognize. This leads him to confess his past as a local highwayman to Imre to insure that he's not recognized.

Kef and Marian mostly get ignored as they are apprentices.

It becomes clear that the place is essentially run by the really new money. No noble houses or anything, just lot's of people with lot's of money.

Marian listens in on the Zanar priests and finds them to be fairly creepy. "All will bow to Zanar."

She then talks to the businessmen who were creeped out by the priests. They are careful to pay their respects to Zanar out loud.

Unfortunately, a priest detects Imre's holy aura. He immediately briefs other priests, and on it spreads. So, Imre and Marian switch bodies (by the power of Imre!) and tries to find Shar to get her out. She doesn't find Shar, but she finds Mark instead.

They wander around looking for Shar. Unfortunately, Marian and Mark are cornered by priests. Marian tries to make excuses, but doesn't do so well. Shar sweeps in to save them. It's post traumatic sea sickness! Off they go.

Shar leaves the party by taking home a daughter of a general.

Meanwhile, Mirian and Mark are at the Inn, but Mirian can't turn off the true change. It's all terrible. Imre leaves the party so as to not trigger the priests again. Kef goes back in and listens in on some conversations. He dertermines that one of the priests detected Imre as a rogue priest of Zanar. Very pesky.

Shar uses his time with the general's daughter to search the house of the general, but is defeated by the safe in the study. He gets copies of a bunch of minor documents regarding supply and re-supply and promotions, but nothing super classified. Darn safe. Then he heads back to the Inn to sleep.

Orhan 5 Day 12 TE 6061

The priest of Zanar come the next day to investigate Imre, being played by Marian. They arrive early in the morning so only half Shar's power points return.

Three priests and two soldiers arrive.

The priests cast numerous spells on Imre (Marian) and get really odd looks on their faces, but won't admit to anything because it's too embarassing. They leave and take their guards with them.

We're all relieved. Shar reports about the documents he found in the general's study.
