That night, Reanne says that these guys are serious, and taking them
out will be significantly more difficult than the Dragon of Tovor. Darts
and Nighthawks could shred us in a shot.
Orhan 1 Day 12 TE 6064
We decide to head back to the caves under Votania. Imre briefs Nusmoi
that she might need to flee at a moments notice.
We find the cave a little inland on the easter side. It's well hidden,
but Alynna finds it. Entering the cave, we find two giant demonesque
statues (demons from beyond the pale), about 14 feet tall. Behind each
one is a giant black door.
The demons' eyes glow as we approach so we stop. We notice that there
seemed to be an area up near the statues were people teleport in and
then proceed through the doors. Haeraan has a vision behind and confirms
that this seems to be how it works, but it's all dark, so he can't really
see anything, just hear people arrive, shuffle a bit, and then open the
doors.
When Haeraan tries to longdoor in, he gets zotted and his arm goes numb.
Essence users can't teleport in because the doors are made of black eog.
Eventually, we hit upon the plan of casting non-detect so the statues
can't detect us, and then having Haeraan teleport people in.
We walk down the long long corridor. After about half an hour, we come
to two big bronze doors.
We head in through the door and end up in a hemisphere room. With stairs
up and down and a flat area in the middle.
Haeraan has a vision behind and sees five figures enter and head up
the stairs through the door. Two dyar, Urkanian, and his brother Gargarax
(the voice), and Solthan Nashang (red dragonlord).
Oh dear. We're in the secret headquarters of the Jerak Arenrath.
Oathar detects his loot! Vast vast loot!
Imre won't let him have it. He forces everyone to teleport out. Sigh.
We flee.
Orhan 1 Day 14 TE 6064
We tell Gireg Jan everything we know about the secret circle headquarters
and the teh brotherhood of the word. He finds that all interesting, but
not necessarily distressing.
We hear through our minions that goofus boy, long lost son of count
goofus, got capture by the Vajari after he tried to do teh plan without
us. Rumor has it he'll be executed. We reluctantly decide to go rescue
him.
Orhan 1 Day 16 TE 6064
We go to Kaitaine and contact some Vajari merchants. Vajar is a workers
paradise. Everyone from vajar loves the government. Anyone traveling
to Vajar is probably a spy. Only natives may own businesses.
Kyrik and Oathar get a sailor and steal his native language while he's
very drunk.
Orhan 1 Day 17 TE 6064
Meanwhile, Imre distracts his boat by warping it's keel and causing
harbor collsions.
Orhan 1 Day 18 TE 6064
We head to Vajar to poke around in disguise.
Our streetwise rolls indicates that those traitorous pig-dog fascist
murders will be executed at a large celebration next week. Then we blow
our cover and summon the secret police to arrest us. Oathar studies a
secret policeman and Alynna and Imre teleport Oathar out of town.
Oathar thinks about it and realizes this is a public guillitine sort
of place.
