In which our heroes ...
Orhan 2 Day 6 TE 6064
We finish them off, Oathar casts power analysis for the configuration
of the ritual. He notices a flow that goes east, and one that goes north.
The north one is bigger. It's arcane. Oathar blows it up with a death
cloud.
After comparing the two ritual sites, Oathar determines the following:
At the central site, the power and area of the MC field is directly
proportional to the number of ritual sites left standing. If we knock
down all the other sites, the central site will be just like this. If
we go now, there will be fewer reinforcements, but a mind control field.
There are definitely three more subsidiary locations. They should be
roughly equally distributed around the center.
We decide to briefly retreat for some puttering, while our comrades
recover from the last fight.
Alynna goes off to look into legends of her lost order. (Haeraan: "Your
order went evil, right?" Alynna: "Not that I've heard." Oathar: "No,
that was my order. and Imre's. And Kyrik's.") She finds the Byron himself
sets off her ring, and Timmy a local poor bicycle enthusist.
Oathar institutes Holy Merchandising at the temple of Neela. Tantella.
Haeraan goes to speak to a low ranking minion of Jasek. This turns out
to be Tamaar of Sel-kai. He indicates that no lesser person than the
prince himself wears one of the amulets of Haeraan's order.
Oathar receives a silk monopoly for all of his support of the NK war
effort.
Allynna invents the charity bicycle race. Oathar invents gambling on
charity bicycle races.
Kyrik notices that Johann (Aragorn) pings in his order. Kyrik goes to
the Library of Nomikos, and researches his order. Fralek the Marquess
of Nogara.
Alynna finds a couple more order candidates at a Skyship captain's bar.
One night we are all having a dream where we are standing in a room
with 3-foot diameter crystaline pillars. One pilar has a golden chest
about 2-2.5 feet long, by 1 by 1, embedded in it. As we stare at the
chest, the world starts to whoozh in and out. The pillar itself starts
whoozhing, twisting, and wobbling. The other pillars have a bunch of
wacky things in them but are quite indistinct, but Oathar sees one of
the other pillars has a big book in it that he thinks is significant.
Oathar thinks to book is relevant to his religion somewhat.
Oathar identifies the chest as the Ark of the Worlds.
The next night, Haeraan tries to have a dream about the previous night's
dream. In his dream, he sees a strawberry plant on the ground which bears
fruit. Then the fruit goes away and it grows and sends out tendrils which
plant themselves. This continues a bunch. Eventually there is a giant
network of strawberry plants ahving radiated from the original. When
the central plant grows and bears fruit, so do the rest grow and bear
fruit. The central plant has six stalks.
