We worry a bit about Roc vengence after the fact and wonder how to deal with them. Then we worry about smart rocs. Then we worry about huge rocs. Then we fret about teleporting baby rocs. Then we decide combat is inevitable. Then we decide it is not. Then we decide it might not be.

Orhan 3 Day 39 TE 6063

Oathar picks up some scentlessness potions in Selkai.

Tradewind talks to Oathar about Rocs. Then people decide to head in and negotiate. Oathar negotiates pretty well, but in the end, the roc wants two herds of cattle and 15 humans as palatte cleansers.

People aren't really willing to sell 15 humans into um... lunch.

We renegotiate again and offer waybread and pigs. Not so interested.

Oathar turns the pig into a brontosaurus. It's tasty, but a little dull.

Finally a bargain is struck! Two herds of cows. Ten Brotosaurus. Ten humans. (10 humans will be provided by Alynna who will change them to humans from captured lugraki.)

Haeraan and Kyrik go to the Dales to get two herds of cattle. They start with HighDale. They only get 50, and start going town to town buying all the cows in the area.

Orhan 3 Day 42 TE 6063

Several days later, they have a couple hundred cows. Kyrik starts sending the cows through a giant portal. In the end, there are 215 cows, and 10 brontosauruses.

Meanwhile, Alynna and Imre go off to get several lugraki. Imre gathers those who flee, while Alynna fights the big one. She kills it of course, but it gets back up again. Oh dear. She kills it several more times, pretty much once every round, but it keeps getting up again. Finally Alynna prays to Cay and gets the sense this lugraki can not be defeated by normal means. Eventually, Alynna retreats.

Imre, meanwhile, is left back there with a pile of slept lugraki. Then she returns and they change the lugraki to humans before the big four armed unbleeding lugraki of doom. They teleport them in.

Oathar gets the female roc child, feeds it a ham, puts it to sleep, and teleports it back to Hraziland.

They promise us a unit of 50 elite flying hrazi warriors! Hooray!

The Hrazi turn the baby roc into an animal companion.
