We return to Santa Vallandra to regroup. Alynna has found Newt's mom and others from their villiage and brought them to Santa Vallandra.

Imre gives a lecture on Ordainers, which attempts to convince us to not go back there.

Oathar writes up a report and sends it off to Gireg Jan for forwarding to Karalon.

We discuss various options for finding the earth demon.

Imre organizes some sign building crews to make the place say "Santa Vallandra" more often.

Orhan 1 Day 60 TE 6059

We spend time scouting a little more north this time looking for lugraki to interrogate. It doesn't go so well.

We decide to go further south, closer to Stroane.

Orhan 1 Day 70 TE 6059

We find vultures circling. Tradewind wanders over. He scares off the vultures and we close in to find about a dozen dead merlogi.

Haeraan determines they came from the north. We follow them north into the hills.

Soem people notice lugraki peering at us from the next ridge over. We cast some spells and leaving true up to the ridge. So it begins.

Alynna and Kyrik kill the sentries before anyone else arrives. We keep teleporting up. Imre gets up there and breaks the limbs of 11 of the remaining 14. Gosh. Their leaders break and run. We yell at Alynna to take one alive. It doesn't work. Alynna and Kyrik kill the leaders.

Imre interrogates the lugraki. Fire under mountain tribe. Lead by Grond. Worship fire god. They came out of the caverns over there in the mountains. Old god got kicked out. Everyone worship new god now. Old god named Krakshu; is big rock person. Idle is carving of Krakshu. Hmm...

We discuss Nynaku for a while. Hmm, he seems to be a dark god.

We return to Santa Vallandra and make sure they stay on alert.

Back to Sel Kai. We report some more to Gireg Jan. "Yeah, it turns out that this ordainer guy is actually a dark god in disguise..." We ask them to look into the problem of how we can deal with him and what we can expect him to be doing.

Orhan 2 Day 13 TE 6059

Imre writes an allagorical story to deniably tell Gireg Jan everything he needs to know about Santa Vallandra without actually saying anything.

Gireg Jan advises Imre not rely on public grants during his writing campaign, as you never know when an auditor might come by...

Other than that, Gireg need not pry into his affairs much...

Plausible Deniability all around!

Alynna also reports about Nynaku, the crazed dark god with a grudge against followers of Cay to her monestary.

Orhan 2 Day 14 TE 6059

Oathar goes to the council meeting. They don't anticipate lower taxes this year. Lankani activity is down so there's less to worry about, however pirate activity is up, so they are worried about that.

The Nuyani resistance isn't doing so well, but we've got some stuff going on trying to help them. After the council, Oathar is approached by a guy named Guri Kadorian, ambassador from Vag Mur. (Voorig Kye-land). He talks to Oathar a bit.

He extends an invitation from the lord of Vag Mur. Oathar passes it around to the party. Alynna is appalled.

We decide to go anyways and gift him with the Quellbourne Globe of the Heavens.

Orhan 2 Day 16 TE 6059

We set sail for Vag Mur. Teh crew is very businesslike. Blue sails with a silver flag.

Orhan 2 Day 19 TE 6059

We are met at Vag Mur. A Erlin elf meets us. "Welcome lords, we've made quarter for you."

We get a nice tour before going up the mountain the next day. It's pretty impressive, but fairly small, as a little fishing town. We do get to see the head of the bronze colored Eog golem. That's pretty cool. Apparently the master instructed that we be shown the golem. It's 35 feet tall. In all that time since the second era, it has never worn or tarnished. No one knows what it guards.

Legend has it that it was erected by the earth wardens to watch and guard against the coming of evil. Terranians were called Earth Wardens.
