Nu Delta Fraternity 460 Beacon St. Boston (617) 437-7300 Hello, My name is Matt, and I am the overnight coordinator for Nu Delta. The first thing I would like to do is tell you a little about our house. We are a small fraternity on the Boston side of the Charles, located in a historic brownstone in Boston's back bay. This year there are twenty-four brothers living at the house, making it a comfortable and familial environment. Of our brothers, about a half are international. We really enjoy this aspect which adds atmosphere to the house and which makes us a little different from most of the other fraternities here at MIT. Throughout the year we are involved in many intramural sports as well as varsity sports, including hockey, football, and soccer. Some of our members are also involved in activities such as the Shakespeare Ensemble and the Chamber Choir. All in all, a very diverse group. As you are making preparations to come to Boston, you should take into account the weather and time of year. For example, if you live in the Southwest and are planning to come to MIT in February, make sure you bring your coat. On the other hand you needn't bother bringing formal attire (unless, of course, you have an interview with someone important), just wear clothes that are comfortable for you. You might also want to bring some clothing in which to play sports, seeing as we are involved in quite a few IM sports. When staying overnight here, you will want to bring a pillow of some sort (don't worry about the blankets or linen) and anything else you would need for a stay of two or three days. After you arrive in Boston, there are two ways for you to get to Nu Delta. You may go to MIT during the day and during which I will pick you up, or you may come directly to the house. To get the house: From MIT: Walk out of Lobby 7 onto Massachusetts Ave. and take a left. Walk across Harvard Bridge and at the first red light (Beacon St.) take another left. The house is half a block on the left From the T: Take the green line (NOT the E train) to the Hynes Convention Center stop. Exit to Massachusetts Ave. Take a left and walk three blocks to Beacon St. Take a right and the house is half a block on the left. If you have any questions about any of this information or anything I didn't mention, feel free to call me, I am usually home in the evening. If you have access to the internet, you may also e-mail me at mrgraham@mit.edu. Good Luck, Matthew Graham `98
