As part of the Drennan Ed Lab's effort to reach Departments and Programs throughout the Institute, Anique Olivier-Mason recently led a diversity training workshop for the SEED Academy within the Office of Engineering Outreach Programs (OEOP). SEED, an acronym of Saturday Engineering Enrichment and Discovery, is a Saturday enrichment and career exploration program for students who attend public school and also live in Boston, Cambridge and Lawrence, Massachusetts. The training was for the SEED instructors and staff to prepare them for diversity issues in their classroom. It was so well received that the Drennan Ed Lab has been invited to provide a similar training for the SEED high school students in the future.
