The best part of a conference is often not the conference itself: it’s meeting colleagues who face the same challenges you do, sharing great ideas over lunch, and the (too short) discussions generated by a presentation. Sound familiar? Then try out this Communications UnConference. This is a unique opportunity to spend time working with others, networking, and helping build the community of Communications Professionals across our schools.

The theme and the UnKeynote speaker on Social Media are preplanned. Everything else – the topics and content – is up to you. Join the conversation and learn a new way to deliver a “crowd-sourced” type conference.

Who should attend?
This UnConference is for you if any of the below apply:

  • You are a Communications Professional.
  • You are interested in learning and sharing insights on communications.
  • You want to learn about using social media from our UnKeynote.
  • You want to network and problem-solve with members of the NERCOMP community.
  • You want access to a number of communications templates.

Our UnConference will follow a set of guiding principles:

  • Give back to the conference by being present and participating.
  • The Law of Two Feet: If you are not learning or contributing to a discussion, you are welcome to choose another of the several discussions going on concurrently; if you don’t feel the one you are in is the best for you – get up and walk to another room and join the conversation.

Still unsure what an UnConference is? Check out Stanford’s video.

Space is limited.Once you've registered, let the collaboration begin by suggesting a session topic.
