I'm pro-choice because...

  because American does not mean Christian   because I made that choice   because I'm not a woman   because I have a social conscience
               
  because I care more about babies after they're born   because a child should be a joy not a burden   because abortion isn't the only choice   because sometimes abortion IS taking responsibility
               
  because childbirth hurts   because women should not be "kept in their place" through legislation   because the government shouldn't intrude into women's personal lives   because there are already too many people in the world
               
  because contraception can fail   because women don't need the government to make major life decisions for them   because no child should have a rapist for a father   because if we can trust Bush with our country, we can trust a woman with her body
               
  because it's not illegal to cut off your finger, so why should it be illegal to have an abortion?   because there are already millions of children who deserve a loving home   because your religion has no place in American law   because i trust women
               
  because date rape drugs have been used at MIT   because my sixteen year-old mother chose to have me   because your religion has no place in my uterus   because vegetarians choose not to eat meat, but they don't try to make it illegal
               
  because a government who can forbid abortions can later demand abortions   because my mother was unwanted and she's still in therapy   because i believe in religious freedom   because i want children when i'm ready
               
  because no one should be forced to give birth   because it's my body   because i respect the rights of others   because science cannot prove when life begins
               
  because not funding birth control won't stop people from having sex, it'll stop them from having safe sex.   because my mother had an illegal abortion   because sexual abuse is too common   because making abortions illegal won't stop them, it will just kill women
               
  because it's time to end womb envy
