This privacy statement applies to the Make Impact Consortium (MIC) Challenge website, at challenge.makeimpactconsortium.com<\/a>. We’ll refer to it as “the Site” in the remainder of this statement. The Make Impact Consortium and the Site are managed by a team at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Site is a small scale closed social network and discussion site for students and other affiliates of MIC member universities participating in MIC design challenges and related activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n You can visit the home page of the Site and see summary information without telling us who you are and without revealing personal information about yourself. In order to register for an account on the Site and participate fully, you will need to provide some personal information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In using specific features, such as discussion forums, member directories, member connections, and profiles on The Site, you will be asked to provide additional information, such as your name and email address, that are needed to contact you and identify you to other members on the Site. In such cases, it is our intent that your provided information will be used only to fulfill the activities related to membership in and activities on the Site, and to allow us to contact you in connection with such activities or directly related activities, such as the design challenge itself. We will not share, exchange, or sell your email address and other provided personal information to third parties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n A cookie is a short identifier, stored on your computer, that may contain site-specific settings or identify you to a site when you make a return visit. The Site uses cookies for analytics and session management.
