The Make Impact Consortium was active from the FALL OF 2017<\/strong> through the SUMMER OF 2023<\/strong>, encompassing 13 member universities across 4 continents. This site remains available for reference and to serve as a consortium archive. The consortium has now concluded its programming, events, and member activities and is no longer accepting new members.<\/strong> Please visit the Higher Education Makerspaces Initiative (HEMI)<\/a> for more information on academic makerspaces and organizations supporting making in a higher education context.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n Organizing design challenges, seminars, workshops, and other interactive and collaborative activities, the Consortium helped schools, helped their students, Make Impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Through collaborations with industry partners, foundations, government, NGO, and other public sector and not-for-profit organizations, the Consortium ensured that students address real-world issues, while building in-demand skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Global networking. Leveraging leading practices. Fostering innovation, and accelerating economic development on and near campuses:<\/p>\n\n\n\n These are key elements of the wider purpose of the Make Impact Consortium.<\/p>\n\n\n\nThe Make Impact Consortium supported Design, Innovation, Makerspace and Entrepreneurship<\/strong> programs on campuses around the world.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
