We may work hard, but we play harder. Our strong varsity athletic
presence at MIT is spread out through numerous sports. Brothers
row for our Division I crew team, as well as varsity track, soccer,
sailing, tennis, gymnastics cross country, . . . the list is constantly
growing. While some of us do not have the ability to join a varsity
sport, Phi Sigs are often seen on the sidelines cheering on the
varsity athletes of the house.

Who needs to spell when you can do math?!)

Almost all brothers choose to participate in at least one of our
24 intramural teams. The intensity of these teams ranges from highly
competitive to just for fun: our A-league soccer team just finished
second, and our B-league Hockey team had a very strong year, while
our floundering group of D-league "hockey" players seemingly
spend more time flopping around on the ice than on their skates.

No matter what your athletic level, though, there are bound to
be numerous teams where you can try out a new sport, showcase
your talents, or crush the opponents to take home the trophy.
However, one thing all these teams have in common is a perfect
environment for brothers to bond while giving their all on the
field or court.

While not necessarily a sport, Ken's can solve
a Rubix
cube in an average time of 20.6 secs.
His cubing has proved to be a disease
which has spread to about 30% of the house.
