How to play Revolutionary Chess
Revolutionary Chess started out exactly like normal chess, but the costumes started to get out of hand. Now everyone has their own ideas about adjacencies.
The statesman moves two spaces in one direction, and then one space perpendicular.
The avowed vassal moves forward one space, or forward and diagonal to capture. There’s nobody around to capture, but they still like going through the motions.
The bard moves one or more spaces diagonally.
The ascended son moves one space in any direction.
The mason moves as far as she wants in any direction: horizontal, vertical or diagonal.
The absolute unit moves horizontally or vertically, any number of spaces.
