Answer: SKIPPING TOWN
Teams come to Guest Services and pick up a ClueKeeper Hunt Code. Then they follow instructions in the Satellite Swing ClueKeeper hunt to find similar locations alternately on Stanford campus and then MIT campus.
E.g., the hunt started by sending the team to Stanford's Landau Building. Once a team member's device was close enough, ClueKeeper told them to find a plaque near three bronze figures and enter the only nine-letter word to appear on a nearby plaque.
Once a team member entered this, the team's next stop was MIT's Landau Building. Once a team member's device was close enough, ClueKeeper told them to find Spatiodynamic and then enter the alphabetically-last word of at least four letters on a nearby plaque. Once a team member did that, the next mission was back in Stanford, and so on.
To extract an answer, take the letter from the westernmost tip of the answer words from the West Coast, and the easternmost tip of the words from the East Coast. Read those 12 letters in the order collected:
Location | Word | Letter |
---|---|---|
West: Landau Building | SENTINELS | S |
East: Landau Building | WORK | K |
West: Red di Suvero Sculpture | IN | I |
East: Red di Suvero Sculpture | AESOP | P |
West: Coffee House | PASTA | P |
East: Coffee House | CAI | I |
West: Green Earth Sciences Building | NOW | N |
East: Green Earth Sciences Building | BUILDING | G |
West: Wormhole | TO | T |
East: Wormhole | NO | O |
West: Building 10 | WILLIAM | W |
East: Building 10 | BARTON | N |
The extracted letters spell the solution, SKIPPING TOWN.
