## Current Officer Needs to:
* Add them to the studentcable-exec@ mailing list via [https://groups.mit.edu/webmoira/list/studentcable-exec].
* Add them to the ASA database [https://engage.mit.edu]. Label as President/Treasurer as appropriate. All officers, regardless of position, should have the 'Space Reservation Signatory,' 'Financial Signatory,' and 'Office Access' tags.
* Get access to 9-034. Email [hoffmann@mit.edu] and cc [sctv@mit.edu] asking for access. Be sure to include each person's kerberos & MIT ID number. Make sure to follow up (sometimes persistently) until access is given to card IDs.
* Give them access to the Google Calendar: calendar.google.com > Student Cable > Settings and Sharing
* Give them access to YouTube: [https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/4628007?hl=en] Remember, passwords exist in the locker.
* Show them how to access officer information in the locker. Make sure they go in and take a look at what's there.
```
log into an Athena cluster or ssh [username]@athena.dialup.mit.edu in a terminal
cd /mit/sctv/operations/exec
cat [filename] to quickly read
```
* Show them how to access officer information on the website (ie. right here [sctv.mit.edu/officers/timeline/])
* Give them access to edit the website via Github [https://github.mit.edu/sctv/site/]
* Give them access to the Team Drive: drive.google.com > Team Drive > Student Cable Television > Add members. Use their personal gmail accounts.

## New Officer Needs to:
  * Get access to 50-309. Make sure that you have been added to the ASA database already.
    > Email [cac-locks@mit.edu] asking them for access to 50-309. Be sure to include the student’s full name, name of the group requesting access, room number, and MITID#.
    > For spaces with keys: To get new keys, go to atlas.mit.edu. Click on "Campus". Click on "Service Requests". Click on "Create Request". And then click on "Keys". Fill out information as requested. Your approver is Claudette Palmer of the Campus Activities Complex. If the keys are in stock, the turnaround can be just a couple days, but it can take longer especially if the keys aren't in stock.
  * Visit the Athena locker. Under /mit/sctv/operations/exec, edit the newofficers.txt file with your kerberos and the date. If you're unfamiliar with using the command line, look up how to use vim or emacs.
  * Make sure your ID works at 9-034.
  * Make a test event on the SCTV calendar. Then delete it.
    * Remember that all events should include the kerberos of the person borrowing equipment/running the session and the list of items checked out (either in the title or in the description box).
  * Visit the officer's page on the website.
  * Log on to edit the website [https://github.mit.edu/sctv/site/]. Make sure you have been given access by a current officer.
    * Review Markdown cheatsheet [https://github.com/adam-p/markdown-here/wiki/Markdown-Cheatsheet]
    * Edit this page by putting your kerberos and the date at the very bottom.
  * Upload an unlisted video to YouTube. Make sure someone else can see it. Then delete the video.
  * [Access the NAS](/officers/NAS). Make sure you have your own folder under Personal.
  * Access the Team Drive on Google Drives.
