Engineering:

  • Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory, Lockheed Martin (8/00 – 8/02) – design, analysis, modeling and testing of vibrations on nuclear submarines.
  • Allied Signal Summer Intern (5/99-8/99) – designed, analyzed, and implemented mechanisms to automate non-destructive eddy current testing for military and civilian gas turbine engines
  • Research Assistant, Computer Integrated Engineering Lab (CIEL) at Carnegie Mellon University (10/98-5/00) - developed the code for nodal mesh analysis of structures to determine stress and deflection.
  • Teaching and Grading Assistant (8/98-5/00) – aided students and graded homework and tests in junior level numerical methods class and sophomore level statics course
  • Computer Consultant for Edtech Inc., Tewksbury MA (5/97-8/97) - assembled hardware and configured software. Provided on-site support, debugging and installations.

    Leadership Experience:
  • Head Orientation Counselor for Budget and Administration, Carnegie Mellon Student Life Office (10/97-9/98)-with a team of five students spent one year planning first-year Orientation for 1500 first-year students; selected and trained a staff of 100 students; planned programs to help introduce students to college life.
  • Summer Resident Assistant, Carnegie Mellon Student Life Office (5/98-8/98) - created a hospitable and secure environment for residents, through event planning, counseling, and conflict resolution
