Climate Modeling
The Center for Environmental Sensing and Modeling (CENSAM), an Interdisciplinary Research Group (IRG) of the Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research and Technology (SMART) Centre, is currently seeking a Postdoctoral Associate to participate in a research project focusing in climate modelling.

The selected individual will use the state-of-the-science climate model to study the future global climatic change. He/she will also collaborate with scientists working on regional modelling to couple the global model with the high-resolution regional models to study the regional climate change of Singapore and surrounding regions.

Applicants are expected to have a Ph.D. in atmospheric sciences and familiarity with common computer languages (FORTRAN or C). Applicants should have experience in using climate model and cluster/parallel computing. Research interest and experience in representing one of the following processes in climate models: 1) physics and chemistry of atmospheric aerosols, 2) cloud and precipitation, or 3) radiation transfer are preferred. Ability to work independently but within a team-base research environment is needed.

This position will be based at the MIT SMART Center in Singapore with visits to MIT. Successful candidates will receive a competitive remuneration package commensurate with their qualifications and experience.

Applications should include a cover letter and a full CV/resume, together with names and contact information of 3 references. Please submit applications via email to censam@mit.edu.
