DESCRIPTION: Leonard Knight has used this mesa as canvas on which to proclaim “God Is Love.” Salvation Mountain is an enormous evolving sculpture built of adobe and brushwood, covered with colorful paint. In the hour I spent here, a dozen visitors came and went; one couple shared their lunch with Knight.
