Synchronizing with Meeting Maker

During synchronization, the Palm Desktop software communicates with the Meeting Maker Palm Conduit, which in turn communicates directly with the Meeting Maker server. Synchronization happens automatically from your Palm organizer to Meeting Maker, and from Meeting Maker to your Palm organizer.

To synchronize your Meeting Maker schedule with your Palm organizer:

1. From your Palm organizer docking cradle, press the HotSync button.

   Note: The first time you synchronize your Palm organizer with Meeting Maker, you are prompted to enter your Meeting Maker user name and password.

2. Once synchronization is complete, click OK/accept to accept the changes that occurred.

WARNING: If you perform a hard reset on your Palm organizer, you need to delete the three .ID files located in the Palm directory before synchronizing again. On Windows the path is <palm directory>\<user directory>\mmcond\. On Macintosh the path is <palm directory>:users:<user directory>. Failure to delete these files may result in duplicated entries in Meeting Maker.
