Sara Bonner was a software developer on MIT’s STAR team in the Office of Educational Innovation and Technology. MIT’s 2008–2009 annual report records her recruitment to the team through a Diversity Fellows program.
Bonner worked with Lourdes Alemán and Alison Brauneis on a high school adaptation of StarBiochem. She isolated and bundled molecular structures so students could explore the building blocks of proteins, sugars, fats, and nucleic acids. MIT Education Group records also name her among the developers of an early StarCellBio prototype.
