  How to Join Membership Dues Application Form

Chatter by the Charles welcomes all guests regardless of speaking experience. We encourage you to visit and observe one or more meetings before deciding to join. The guidelines below explain how to become a member of the Club. You may also wish to review our Frequently Asked Questions.

  1. Attend a Chatter by the Charles Toastmasters meeting on any Wednesday from 12:30-1:30 PM. We are located in Building E19 (400 Main Street), Room 306, on the MIT campus in Cambridge, Massachusetts, just down the street from the Kendall T stop on the Red Line.

  2. During the meeting, guests are often introduced to the club. Please tell us your name and a little bit about yourself.

  3. After the meeting, officers and members will be available to answer your questions, explain the Toastmasters education process, and guide you through the membership application process.

  4. To join, fill out a membership application form (available at the meeting or in the box above) and pay your initial dues (see our membership dues chart). You will receive a new member kit in the mail in a few weeks, but you can start participating in the Club right away!

Please note that this process is a general one; you may choose to observe several meetings before becoming a member.
