Christmas decorations in Temple Square.

Let it snow. Let it snow. Let it snow. The 2001-2002 season begins with a bang. New boards. Fresh snow. In shape (a little).

I sailed through the freshies at Snowbasin. Life's good. Don't know where ths energy came from but I'm not complaining. Made up for it by making a fool of myself doing moguls to complete physical exhaustion at Deer Valley. My knees are shot.

I'm trying to get braver with cornices. Deer Valley has a little practice cornice that plops you in powder. That was fun. I tried a more real one. You can see quite a bit from up there. The problem is that they can see you too. Paul, who had been doing his own thing to stay clear of my expert guidance, later gave me the play by play of my hesitations. Not thinking and going is usually the right answer.

Who pays the electric bill?

Salt Lake is scrambling to finish construction before the Olympics. That will be a miracle. But they did open the light rail up 4th. When I was here last March they were just beginning to lay the track. Can't park in front of the coffee shop anymore. Oh well.
