Accommodations The SIGDOC98 hotel, Loews Le Concorde Hotel, is located on the Grand AllHe, often called the Champs-Elysses of Quebec City. The hotel is close to all the main attractions of the city and the rooms offer sweeping views of the city. From the revolving restaurant atop this 30-story hotel, you'll see a panorama of Quebec City. The hotel has two other restaurants as well as a Health Club and a sauna. The hotel offers a special floor with added security for women traveling alone and two other floors designed for travelers with disabilities. It also has a luxury floor, Club 1225.

The Loews Le Concorde meeting rooms and sleeping rooms are handicap accessible.

August 27, 1998: If you want to leave Quebec City on Sunday and are having difficulty getting a flight reservation out of Quebec City because of lack of availability, here is a tip from a SIGDOC attendee: "Most airlines will book "open jaw" tickets that let you fly into one airport and out from another. Thus you could fly into Quebec on non-busy Monday/Tuesday, take the train to Montreal Sunday and fly out from Montreal Sunday (getting a Saturday night stay). The train takes about three hours from Montreal and I'm told the ride is very scenic. It also costs only about $35 US (one way)."

Transport from
airport to hotel
By taxiAbout $26 CDN plus tip
By shuttle Navette Shuttle, run by Autobus Le Quebecoise Inc., costs $9 CDN one way, $17 CDN round trip. The shuttle leaves the airport every two hours.
