The sonorous forest will be a nursery to cultivate the vegetation which will re-forest the streets of the Mill Creek Neighborhood. It will be propagated by the children of Mill Creek and it will serve as a learning tool. It will be a mechanism for understanding nature, sound, cultural heritage, and self.

This nursery will function as a living piece of music. The selection of plants form the base rhythm and the melody. The species which establish the base rhythm line the main pathway and are intended to be permanent fixtures within the nursery. The other species create an ever changing melody which fluctuates as these individuals are planted, grown, and transplanted as street trees within the surrounding community.
