"My home, in 51th and Sansom Street."

"I always walk to Save Rite for food.
After school, I must come here for part-time job.
...My job makes me feel like I am home."
...Look around to see where the manger is,
...and continue to work.

"Oh, I never go to shop for clothes around this area,
and I always go to central city or Mills."
"I go to Rite Aid for drugstore stuff."
"across from Save Rite."
"Very convenient, right?"


"I always go to see my friends in the morning."
"It's a totally different way It's from going for food?!"
"Yes, because there are more people I know living on this way."

"Where else do you go in the city?'
"Downtown, to pay bills."

"Do you ever leave the city?"
"Yes, to visit relatives."

"Where do kids like to play?" "...Playground."
"Not all the times, because it's not safe most of the times."

"My school, John Bartram, is in 66th Elmwood Ave., southwest Phila."

"Which place do you like to stay for a while?"
"......Most of places are not safe......,
but I always go here (drawing routes from his home to the playground) to play basketball."
"It's a totally different way from going for food and from visiting friends?!"
"......There are more people around those routes, and I feel safer."
