An end:
to slow runoff from entering West Philadelphia's sewer, and thereby relieve stress on the failing system.
A beginning: an inquiry into the nature of storm water runoff.
With my minds' eye, I mapped the paths of raindrops over the contours of the sub watershed that encloses the Sulzberger Middle School grounds.
I imagined each drop resting, moving, or gathering- as if they were

or planes.
The raindrops appeared to have changing states of being. Movement was a constant punctuated with moments of stillness, rushing, and change. These different states had unique characters, formed by whatever they reacted with- ground, rooftops, streets, gutters, plants, etc.
