
Thus in the case of West Philadelphia, which has a dynamic Natural and Social History, it is the purpose of the Landscape design to revive a balance between these two worlds.
Visibly it is to provide Recreation and Relief to the problems of URBAN WATERSHED, for an Urban Society. Invisibly it is intended to reinforce the values of the environment of the past, by opening the windows of the subconscious, upon the relevance today of the Mill-creek.
The interpretation of Art into Landscape, is personal to every designer, and in this project in particular, forms the "Challenge of the Design".
