 THE STATIC

The main intent of the grading process I adopted is to reinforce the overall strategy of the design.

By echoing the shape of the central basin, contour lines emphasize the static shape of the square.

THE DYNAMIC

The three footpaths across the site follow the direction of the four axis geometric figure superimposed on the spiral. Beside their obvious location, their organic progress tends to give the site a dynamic quality.

THE STATIC AND THE DYNAMIC

The basin is composed of five ponds, four of which are squares with different elevations.

As soon as the amount of rainfall exceeds a certain peak the four ponds are progressively filled with water. This process will chronologically change the landscape from a static aspect of the dry basin to the dynamic quality of the square ponds.

These latter recreate the centrifugal force of the spiral, from which the original order of the golf course has been determined.
