Most of miniature golf courses are located on condensed
or commercialized areas such as beside high way, gas stations or fast food
restaurants. |
| The minimum size of 18 hole golf course, including clubhouse
and parking lots, is around 150 acres. |
SIZE |
Compared to actual golf courses, miniature courses are
literally "mini".The one we visited was, roughly measured, around
140x140 square feet, ie 1/2 acre . |
| The fairway of actual golf course is consisted with tee-ground,
various hazard—sand bunkers, lakes and topography etc.--and putting-ground.
Most materials are natural such as turf, sand, stone, water and trees. In
short they imitate the nature of Scotland, the origin of golf. |

Basically the elements of course are similar, but miniature
golf is concentrated more on putting-green. Most challenges are there, and
usually it has several hazards. The material of hazard are various, but
mostly artificial like concrete, plastic, Astroturf carpet, bricks etc.
because of low maintenance. |
| Even though there are public golf clubs, the average expense
and time playing golf still cannot meet average income people. Private clubhouse
memberships are far more expensive so relatively higher income people can
enjoy the game |

reasons. Average people can spend quality time with their families without
