The Mill Creek Project

838 N. 42 st.

Hello, my name is Glenroy Anderson. I'm in the eigth grade at Mayer Sulzberger Middle School. This year, we focused on the Mill Creek area. The Mill Creek is in a pipe that runs through Forty -Seventh and Aspen Streets. What the problem is, is that every time it rains, the houses by the creek would get flooded. This is our solution to fix this.

Every time it rains, the water will go into a drain. It will be cleaned with chlorine, and then send it to pools in the West Philadelphia region. We would also fix the neighborhoods by picking up all of the trash on the ground washing all the graffiti off the walls in the neighborhood.

The government didn't do anything, so we will try to help the neighborhood the best way we can. And now we have the help of the students of University of Penn. After we finish all the work, Penn students Martin, Liz, and Charlie will try to help us be recognized for all the work we did this year. We are going to re-write all of the information that we learned this year and summarize it to 1-2 pages. When we are done writing our paper, the Penn Students will help us make a book about all the information we learned this year. Thanks, Glenroy Anderson.
