Hello, I’m Shanell Anderson of Sulzberger Middle School from section #281 and I would like to discuss with you the matters of the Mill Creek neighborhood. For quite some time, my classmates and I have been studying the history and the present of this neighborhood. We’ve even talked about the future, as far as the housing and the piping, and also the raw sewage that is destroying peoples homes and school buildings. The reason this damage is occurring is because of the way the piping system is set up, which causes it to overflow.
Back in the 1750's, when people lived in teepees, their homes got destroyed very quickly and they wouldn't have anywhere to live. Nowadays, with the way these houses are designed, when the pipe overflows, it is still ruining people's homes. By us doing this project and coming up with ideas and ways to design models helps us fix the problem that we have figured out. We’re hoping very strongly that the designs we are developing come out very well, and for them to be taken into consideration. We hope that we can have them built and that that will solve the problem.
