Holloway | The Water Place |
4619 Locust St |
I, Deon Holloway of section 281 have been selected to write a proposal for revealing and restoring urban water in the Mill Creek neighborhood. The site is Forty-Seventh and Aspen Street. There is a serious problem with flooding at the intersection, at Forty-seventh and Aspen that causes sewage to back up the north and south lunchrooms of Sulzberger Middle School after a rain storm.
My proposal will include our specialty for a water place area and a water garden for outdoors in the Mill Creek area and Sulzberger Middle School.
The area that I am mainly working on is the water place area. I will try to produce a water maze, where, if you don't get out fast enough, you will get wet. The slide will take you into a pool. There will be benches for the parents to watch their children. The water play area will have a gate around it, so that it can be locked for safety at all times when the guard is not around. The water garden will also have a detention/retention basin for storms and rain. The detention will provide a sewage piping line so that the water will not overflow. I will also try to design and produce pavement walls, water edges, and reasign the water flow.
