Frederick Law Olmsted (1822-1903)

Frederick Law Olmsted was a famous landscape architect who built many parks in the Eastern United states, including Central Park in New York City and a very large wetlands in Boston called the Fens. He also helped with the design of Fairmount park in Philadelphia.He thought very carefully about how water entered a wetlands and what kinds of places it created.
