Hello! My name is Zhengmao Lu. I am currently a postdoctoral associate in Prof. Jeffrey Grossman's research group in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Previously, I did my PhD in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at MIT, advised by Prof. Evelyn Wang. My PhD thesis has focused on fundamentally understanding evaporation kinetics with the help of micro/nanoengineering. I am currently working on creating high performace passive cooling solutions for buildings and perishable goods with novel engineered materials. I am generally interested in optimizing water and energy systems from the perspective of interfacial transport. I like to use both experimental and theoretical approaches to solve problems.
