HMMT Archive

The Harvard-MIT Math Tournament is an entirely student-run event. Past and present coordinators are mostly people who participated in lots of math contests in high school, and include a number of participants of the IMO. We work very hard to ensure that the tournament is an educational, fun-filled event that runs smoothly and efficiently.

If you are a student at MIT or Harvard and would like to help either on the day of the contest or behind the scenes beforehand, including writing problems, please contact us with the comment form, or send mail to hmmt-request@mit.edu, and we will get back to you with more information on how you can help. Most of the coordination takes place long before the contest date, so we need as many volunteers as we can get months in advance.

If you want to receive mailings about the contest (and if you have an athena account), add yourself to the hmmt mailing list on athena, or send a message to hmmt-request@mit.edu and we will add you.

If you are affiliated with another university and think you might be interested in starting a contest or coordinating a currently existing contest with ours in future years, please write to us at hmmt-request@mit.edu. We will answer as many questions as we can, as well as put you in touch with the coordinators of other contests.
