Keep your Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems up to date through MIT's free Red Hat Network Satellite Server service - 6/2/2005

IS&T recognizes that the MIT Linux community uses many different Linux distributions.

Both Red Hat Enterprise 4 and 5 on 32-bit and 64-bit x86 hardware are recommended and fully supported.

Customers with these platforms can obtain binaries from the sections below:

RHEL 5 Jump to Red Hat Enterprise 5
RHEL 5 (64-bit) Jump to Red Hat Enterprise 5 for 64-bit AMD and Intel EM64T Hardware
RHEL 4 Jump to Red Hat Enterprise 4
RHEL 4 (64-bit) Jump to Red Hat Enterprise 4 for 64-bit AMD and Intel EM64T Hardware
UTIL CD Jump to Linux Utility CD

Customers running other Linux distributions are advised to build applications from source because each distribution has unique issues with binary compatibility.

New Students: The programs you are most likely to find useful at MIT are available as a single download. If you are unsure what you might need, installing the applications in the "Student Bundle" below is a good way to get started.
