This Laboratory Gives You the Chance to Work in Teams

In Course 10.26 you will work in a research team, usually in a group of three. With your team mates, you will plan the work, assemble the necessary equipment, carry out experiments and report the results. You are encouraged to work out your own experimental plan, to work up your experimental results as fast as they are obtained and to modify your plans as you proceed. You will learn how to set up your equipment with help from faculty. Most often, projects involve working with vendors for equipment information and for help in deciding what you need, just as you would working in industry. As part of your project, you'll learn experimental techniques, project and team management, data analysis and presentation, and technical communications.
