Course 10.26 will Teach you Safety Procedures

Working well on a project includes working safely in the laboratory, and safety is an inherent part of Course 10.26. Since your experiments evolve throughout the semester, safety analysis is a continual part of the operation. Safety instruction starts with a one-hour lecture at the beginning of the term. You'll get a copy of the ACS manual Safety in Academic Chemistry Laboratories. Among the Faculty for Course 10.26 are a members of the Department Safety Committee; safety during class is monitored by both faculty and teaching assistants. You'll be expected be familiar with the potential hazards of your experiments and to operate safely at all times.
