I am responsible
for Studying the Biochemistry of the water in the Amazon.
Questions that need to be answered include:
Where are these chemicals coming from?
What is the purpose of, or the effect of these chemicals in terms of the water and the animals/plants living off the water.
How has the chemistry of the water changed during the last few years?
What projections are possible from any trends seen in these changes?
In the water cycle, how does the chemistry of the water change?
What effect does logging/slash and burn/mining etc. have on the water in the Amazon?
What else affects this water chemistry?
NotaBene: "chemistry" refers to the composition, structure, properties, and reactions of the water.
Updates:
The groups were reorganised and I became part of the team responsible for Pollution. The Final Website was created and posted here.
The Final Presentation was done on Friday December 6th. You can see it here.
I have also merged two of my courses ('Mission 2006' and 'Expository Writing - About the Bomb') by writing an essay discussing
the links between world annihilation through Nuclear War and through killing the Amazon Rain Forest. Read it here.
