The motivation
In ancient days, the original inhabitants in rain forests did coexist with the forest. They even contributed to the life cycle of rain forests. This means that there is some ways to develop rain forests without the depletion of forests. If we could find out the way, we could provide practical plan for conservation of rain forests.To consider about this question, I'd like to know more about:
the life cycle of rain forests (tht transition of the whole rain forest and the cycle of the plant life)
the food chain (or food web?) in rain forests (especially focusing on plants)

Plant Physiology etc.
The motivation
In ancient time, the rain forests must have experienced the danger of extinction because of national disaster or climate change. At that time, how the rain forests recoverd from that crisis? There must be some hint for us to consider the conservation of rain forests.To consider about this questions, I'd like to know more about:

The Geological Age of the South America
