I. Individual research:
    A. Jean-Marie: products (medicines, pesticides, dyes) instead of logging to make conservation monetarily feasible

    B. George: reforestation -palms are good b/c regenerate rainforest and also have products (oil, dates?) so can be alternative to cattle

How big is rainforest? -satellite mapping

    C. Cathy: general rainforest composition, etc. looking into more specifics on plant groups

    D. Tanzeer: logging and agriculture -need to move to polycyclic instead of monocylic

                         Mining

    E. Shan: history- all rainforest (Australia, east asia, amazon) used to be connected (Pangaea)
                               - used to be affected mainly by temp (i.e. sudden cooling - species variety decreases)

rainforest is decreasing in size to begin w/ because of general cooling affects but humans can make it change faster/throw off the cycle so hard to measure impact

    F. Juliana: bacteria, insects - help trees with nutrients so can use places for agriculture longer not cut more forest

    G. Sarah: climate change/epiphytes (effected more than other flora) so try to help deal with change
