Journal: Week of October 11, 2004 Click here to return to the journal main page. October 17, 2004 Today the Globe had a review of the IMAX movie that I saw last week. It is included in the October 5 entry. I worked on the birds list and some marine research. These write-ups will be included in our team web site. Back to Top October 16, 2004 I was with my parents today. Yey for Parents' weekend! Back to Top October 15, 2004 Today was the start of Parents' weekend, so my parents sat in on our team meeting, of which minutes can be found here. My dad snapped this photo of our team at the end of the meeting: I am continuing my fauna and flora research. In the near future, I need to develop my ideas for the monitoring system more fully. Back to Top Minutes from today's coordination meeting can be seen here. I reviewed methods to monitor seismic and volcanic activity through research over the Internet, as well as the technologies involved in such endeavors. My findings will be reported at the team meeting on Friday. Back to Top October 12, 2004 Test tomorrow and paper due; no Mission work today. Back to Top Daphne and I from team one spoke with our other alumni mentor, Jessica, at a student-mentor dinner. She is committed to helping us with the project, and stated that she has experience in presentation skills. As the time comes closer to the presentation on December 2, we will communicate more frequently. |
