Software

For this course, two software packages and several applets were developed to help students
understand basic concepts and supplement selected homework assignments.

Added Mass Applet. Used to evaluate the added mass coefficients of 3D bodies.

Original P-Flow, for Athena lockers. Used to visualize Potential Flow.

Java P-Flow Applet. Used to visualize Potential Flow.

Applets that require Java 3D are intended to supplement selected assignments.
To view those applets you can either use Athena (Sun machines)
or you can choose to download Java 3D in your PC.
To download Java 3D clic on the Java icon.
Choose the desired format in the "Select a Format Menu" and press "Continue".
Read the "Terms and conditions of the license & export for Java 3D(TM) API 1.3.1".
Press "ACCEPT" if you do and proceed with downloading.
Clic on the .exe file you downloaded and installation you will begin.
Follow the instructions given to you during the installation process.
